Description

US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Lead Call Center Representative to join our team at Memorial Katy Cardiology in Katy, TX

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with managers on workflow improvements, scheduling, new initiatives, and call escalations.
  • Answers phone calls expediently and refer inquiries to the appropriate parties as needed.
  • Schedules and confirms patient appointments over the phone.
  • Explains health center procedures to patients.
  • Verifies medical insurance coverage and eligibility and expires on any insurance that is not active.
  • Informs patients with account balances and correct billing amounts.
  • Notifies patients with insurance co-pays.
  • Verifies patient demographic information.
  • Ensures accuracy of the information in telephone messages and deciphers the correct amount to charge a self-pay or sliding fee schedule for patients.
  • Takes payments over the phone.
  • Provides referral status information to patients.
  • Follows processes and policies for the organization.
  • Fosters the goals of team building within the clinic/center staff.
  • Manages quality improvement and safety initiatives
  • When position requires travel to/from other locations, ensures vehicles are operated and maintained in compliance with all safety, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Fosters a team-oriented environment by encouraging cooperation, providing support, and resolving conflicts constructively.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required
  • Three (3) months of experience in customer service is required
  • Cardiology practice experience preferred.
  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing in English, to various audiences.
  • Ability to manage time, organize work, set priorities, meet deadlines, and follow up on work assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work independently, and as a team, to complete daily activities according to the work schedule.
  • Knowledge of Office 365 programs such as Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Office 365 programs such as Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Working knowledge of EMR system
