Description
US Heart and Vascular is in need of a PRN Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Orion Medical ASC in Houston, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Review the operating room schedule at the beginning of each day to plan and prepare to perform the scrub position's duties effectively and efficiently.
- Assist in routine Cardiac Cath and EP procedures
- Operates computer and radiographic equipment for image production and documentation and performs quality control measures to ensure optimal image quality.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills to interpret and respond to patient data and hemodynamic responses during pre, intra, and post-Cath and EP procedures.
- Assists with the patient's admission, transfer, and discharge.
- Demonstrates ability to perform different responsibilities within the department, such as being a circulator, monitor, scrub, and holding area personnel assistant.
- Maintains professionalism and communicates effectively in high-stress situations.
- Other duties assigned include quality control and assurance audits, environmental rounds, supply management, and any tasks deemed necessary by the center's director.
Requirements:
- Completion of a nationally accredited educational program for surgical technologists, RCIS program, or certified ARRT
- Possesses a current license from nationally accredited credentialing organization; or Written verification by a health care facility of employment as a full-time Cath Lab technologist for two years.
- A minimum of two years’ experience assisting in a Cath Lab is preferred but not required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Saving (ACLS) certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) are required.
- RCIS certification will be required at the time of annual review.
