US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Remote Clinical Imaging Systems Manager to join out team.


Position Summary:

The Clinical Imaging Systems Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and clinical imaging systems. In this role, the administrator will oversee equipment maintenance, system testing, upgrades, and any necessary installations, ensuring seamless functionality that supports patient care. Beyond technical expertise, the Clinical Imaging Systems Manager will demonstrate strong leadership by proactively identifying improvement opportunities, guiding cross-functional teams, and ensuring issues are resolved efficiently. Acting as a key liaison between the Clinical Applications Department, end users, and vendor partners, the administrator will foster collaboration, maintain positive vendor relationships, and communicate effectively with both clinical and technical stakeholders. This position reports to the VP of Clinical Applications. A thorough knowledge of the CoreSound Studycast application is required. The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of relevant experience as an individual contributor, along with the initiative, accountability, and leadership qualities needed to influence outcomes and support organizational goals.


Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Responsible for day-to-day operation of PACS equipment including image workflow, archiving, auto-routing, prefetching, and other related activities.
  • Works closely with diagnostic technicians to ensure timely, complete capture of DICOM digital image data into the PACS system as well as network transmission, and exceptions handling.
  • Serve as PACS super-user, overseeing system configuration, user setup, and functional testing.
  • Investigates, identifies, and prepares proposals to solve specific operational problems within all clinical operational areas.
  • Oversee activities of vendors in all phases of installation and implementation of new systems.
  • Identify and evaluate current processes and functionality within the PACS to drive improved efficiency and usability for clinic users.
  • Responsible for redesigning workflows and introducing new features; monitoring user adoption.
  • Coordinate and deliver user training; develop and maintain CoreSound training materials and documentation.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for PACS-related issues, managing support tickets and ensuring timely resolution; escalating to IT, Clinical Managers, or Supervisors as needed
  • Organize workgroups, meetings, and/or individual communications to ensure a practical, cohesive strategy.
  • Respond to end-user requests for issue resolution, create and monitor support tickets and work to resolve problems quickly and accurately.
  • Function as the primary point of contact for user issues and requests relating to CoreSound
  • Identify, assess, troubleshoot PACS related issues as they occur, and see through to full resolution.
  • Consult with IT Team, Clinical Manager(s) and Department Supervisors for issues that require additional assistance as needed.
  • Assists in other clinic activities or clinic-related tasks as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience working with CoreSound Studycast PACS Application.
  • Industry Experience – Two years of application responsibility in a healthcare environment
  • Clinical experience and understanding of physician practice operations is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cardiology diagnostic imaging experience
  • CoreSound Studycast experience
  • eClinicalWorks EHR experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work idependently
  • Ability to operate all aspects of the PACS system on a day-to-day basis
  • Ability to operate all aspects of the PACS computer equipment and servers
  • Knowledge of current medical terminology
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills including the ability to manage interactions with difficult people
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
