Your Role
As Staff Accountant, you will report to the Accounting Manager, with additional direction and guidance from the Lead Senior Accountant and help drive the monthly close through timely and accurate reporting. You will communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders to analyze and understand their functional requirements.
Primary Functions of the Staff Accountant Include:
Perform general accounting duties include various components of the month-end close processes, including journal entry preparation and reconciliations.
Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance with GAAP.
Consolidated balance sheet and income statement analysis.
Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and compliance with company policies while maintaining up‑to‑date and organized AP records and annual 1099 reporting.
Providing accounting support to various constituents (e.g., FP&A, Actuary, HR, legal)
Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or relative work experience
1+ years of accounting work experience
Healthcare industry experience preferred
Intercompany allocations and system automation experience preferred
Microsoft Excel (Pivot Table, Lookup functions, etc.)
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations
The base pay range for this role is $64,700.00 - $72,700.00. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Honest. Eligible roles also qualify for short-term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
