Your Role

As Sr. Director, Healthcare Economics, you will serve as a strategic leader responsible for transforming complex, ingested data into standardized, scalable reporting that serves as the foundation for enterprise decision-making.

You will lead a team accountable for ensuring that data is accurate, consistent, and delivered through intuitive, executive-ready reporting tools. You will also define how analytics is structured and presented so that downstream insights teams can efficiently and effectively generate value.

Success in this role requires strong executive presence, clear ownership alignment, and the ability to build trust in data across the organization.

Primary Functions of the Sr. Director, Healthcare Economics Include:

  • Define and lead the vision and roadmap for enterprise reporting and data transformation capabilities.

  • Establish scalable frameworks that convert complex datasets into standardized, consumable reporting assets.

  • Partner with Technology and Finance leadership to ensure clear ownership, alignment, and efficiency across the data → reporting → insights value chain.

  • Oversee the transformation of ingested data into usable, structured datasets aligned to business definitions.

  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and reconciliation across reporting outputs.

  • Develop and enforce standards for data validation, metric definitions, and governance.

  • Lead the development of enterprise reporting solutions, including dashboards and data models (e.g., Tableau).

  • Deliver reporting on healthcare utilization, cost, quality, and performance metrics.

  • Ensure outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned to agreed-upon methodologies, enabling consistent downstream use.

  • Partner closely with the Finance insights team to enable a seamless transition from reporting to insight generation.

  • Define and operationalize clear handoffs, workflows, and service-level expectations between teams.

  • Collaborate with Technology to ensure ingested data supports reporting needs and resolves upstream data challenges.

  • Provide clear, concise updates to executive leadership on reporting capabilities, data quality, and performance metrics.

  • Drive alignment on key metrics, definitions, and reporting standards across the organization.

  • Build organizational confidence in reporting as the single source of truth.

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team focused on data transformation and reporting excellence.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement.

  • Coach team members to strengthen both technical expertise and cross-functional influence.

  • Implement best practices in reporting processes, documentation, and governance.

  • Continuously improve workflows to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability.

How You Qualify

  • Master’s degree in data science, statistics, public health, economics, epidemiology, or a related field required

  • 10+ years of healthcare analytics, data, or healthcare economics experience

  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including building and scaling teams

  • Deep expertise in healthcare data (claims, clinical, and financial) and reporting frameworks

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and/or similar tools

  • Proven ability to build and scale reporting and data transformation capabilities in complex organizations

  • Strong executive presence with experience aligning senior stakeholders

  • Experience operating within a multi-team model (Technology → Reporting → Insights)

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clarify complex concepts and define ownership boundaries

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of how reporting supports financial and operational performance

The base pay range for this role is $179,500.00 - $224,400.00. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Honest. Eligible roles also qualify for short-term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
