Your Role

We are seeking a Senior People Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day People and Culture operations tasks, managing People and Culture-related inquiries, facilitating pre-boarding and onboarding processes, and providing support for People and Culture activities. This role will operate in a fast-paced startup environment, contributing to the establishment and improvement of People and Culture processes. The Senior People and Culture Operations Specialist will collaborate across various People and Culture functions including operations, compensation, benefits, talent management, learning and development, and People and Culture systems. Additionally, this role will involve creating employee-facing materials to enhance the employee experience.

Primary Functions of the Sr. People Operations Specialist Include:

  • Manage day-to-day People and Culture operations tasks, serving as a primary point of contact for People and Culture related inquiries and processes.
  • Facilitate pre-boarding activities for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
  • Assist in the onboarding process, providing guidance and support to new employees to ensure a positive integration.
  • Thrive in a startup environment, contributing to the creation and establishment of new processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various functions such as operations, compensation, benefits, talent management, learning and development, and HR systems.
  • Develop employee-facing materials to communicate HR policies, procedures, and programs effectively.
  • Conduct research to support the development of new programs and initiatives.
  • Prepare reoccurring and ad hoc reports on People and Culture metrics and key performance indicators, providing insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employment files, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct periodic audits of data in systems and employment files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve HR processes and procedures related to research, reporting, and employment file management.
  • Stay updated on HR best practices, industry trends, and relevant regulations to ensure compliance and effectiveness of HR operations.
  • Support leadership in special projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in HR operation, administrative role, or similar
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and other relevant HR software
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Prior experience in a startup environment is a plus
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred but not required
