Senior Data Engineer (Nashville, TN – Telecommuting Permissible). (multiple positions). Design, develop and maintain cloud data lakes and data warehouses to support business requirements. Create complex Extract, Load, Transform/Extract, Transform, and Load scripts to perform data integration to data lakes and data warehouses. Work with healthcare data sets and implement backend business logic, databases, APIs, and data workflows. Perform data analysis on healthcare data (medical claims, Rx, CMS) to derive meaningful analysis for business needs. Research emerging cloud-related technologies. Work as part of a development team participating in various development-related meetings, including daily stand-up meetings, spring planning, reviews, and commentary. Impact the design of platforms and components. Design and implement solutions to user submitted analysis tasks. Test and address any issues in work and material as well as the work of others. Implement APIs for needed application functions. Work on backlog items as they are being prepared for development. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and five (5) years of work experience in the job offered or in a related position performing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) data development. Must have two (2) years of experience within the healthcare industry in each: (1) perform data analysis using Snowflake Data Cloud; (2) SQL scripting to create tables, store procedures, perform ELT operations, and generate data results; (3) Talend Data Integration Studio to import files from various source locations into internal environment for processing; (4) AWS S3 to store inbound files and process logs; and (5) Python scripting language to develop data delivery mechanisms.
