Your Role

You will lead all facets of operational finance for Honest’s New York Market, which consists of four JV partners and more than 34k full-risk lives, including budging, monthly forecast and variance analyses, physician incentive structure, and ad hoc analysis in support of medical and operating margin improvement. In this role, you will partner closely with the VP, General Manager of the NY Market, the NY market operations team, and Honest’s physician partner groups to help drive strong financial management of the NY Market P&L and generate actionable financial insights. You will also be collaborating closely with the other finance and operational functions (e.g., our controller and actuary teams as well as our market general managers) to help inform an enterprise view of Honest.

Primary Functions of the JV Finance Director Include:

  • Collaborate with JV market operations teams and physician partner groups to develop financial forecasts, budgets and performance reporting.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis to support JV market needs (e.g., program ROI analysis, workforce planning and management).
  • Help design and implement new business processes to improve the sharing of financial data and performance insights across both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Interface with other finance functions (e.g., controller and actuary teams) to develop enterprise view.
  • Develop presentations and participates in JV Board of Directors and JV Finance Committee meetings.
  • Develop and complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Support recruitment, training, and mentorship of other members of Honest’s Corporate and JV finance teams.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 7+ years of experience working in a finance organization or a business and/or corporate development role
  • Knowledge of provider group and value-based care economic models strongly preferred
  • Proficiency developing financial and data models; high comfort level extracting insights from large datasets
  • Must possess strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Willingness to travel to Honest’s JV partners
  • Must possess the ability to examine and verify financial documents and reports
  • Ability to represent Company in an ethical and professional manner, and to maintain accountability
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Must have strong detail orientation and high accuracy level
