Your Role

The Vice President of Clinical Operations will be responsible for leading the integration of clinical programs into market, standardizing operations where appropriate, providing input and designing operational enablement workflows, and collaborating with key clinical staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care within a value-based care medical group. This role requires strategic leadership, strong collaboration skills, and a deep understanding of healthcare delivery systems and value-based care models. The successful candidate will drive performance improvement, optimize efficiency, and enhance patient outcomes through effective management of clinical operations and initiatives.

Primary Functions of the Vice President, Clinical Operations Include:

  • Lead the integration of clinical programs into the market, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to standardize operations across clinical programs to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with members of the interdisciplinary care team (including but not limited to physicians, nurses, social workers, pharmacists, and care coordinators) to identify areas of improvement and implement best practices.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Help create and monitor key performance indicators related to clinical operations and identify opportunities for improvement. · Work closely with cross-functional teams, including clinical, IT, market operations, finance, and others to support the delivery of value-based care initiatives.
  • Partner with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and central clinical leadership on the design and development of clinical workflows, evidence-based practices, defining program KPIs, and support training tools.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to clinical operations staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in clinical operations and value-based care.
  • As appropriate, collaborate with external partners including joint venture partners, payers, providers, and community organizations, to enhance care coordination and patient outcomes. · Act as a key thought partner and clinical operations lead for various areas throughout the organization with a high focus on technology and government programs, including the development of materials and role definition where appropriate.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.

  • Must have reliable access to high-speed internet to ensure seamless remote work communication and productivity
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Social Work required; Master’s degree strongly preferred
  • Active licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) required; Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification preferred · Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in clinical operations, preferably in a healthcare setting; value-based care setting preferred
  • Strong understanding of healthcare delivery systems, reimbursement models, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex clinical programs and initiatives
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategies to optimize clinical operations and enhance patient care
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards relevant to clinical operations and value-based care
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to drive performance improvement
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Travel expected up to 10% of the time
