Responsibilities
The Senior Analyst, Operational Performance is responsible for delivering data-driven insights that strengthen care delivery operations, improve clinical and financial performance, and support the evolution of strategic care models. This role partners closely with Medical Group leadership to evaluate operational effectiveness, optimize capacity and staffing models, and drive measurable improvements across the organization. Acting as a subject matter expert in performance analytics, strategic planning, and operational management, this position works cross-functionally with clinical, operational, finance, and strategy teams to analyze trends, design scalable reporting solutions, and translate complex data into actionable recommendations. The Senior Analyst enables leaders to make informed decisions that enhance financial performance, operational efficiency, quality outcomes, and overall care delivery effectiveness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive performance visibility across the Medical Group executive team through actionable reporting, insight development, and structured performance reviews
- Assist strategic operations leaders in the Medical Group annual budget process, partnering with leaders to translate business needs into structured staffing and financial models
- Serve as a strategic thought partner to operations and finance leadership by proactively identifying emerging risks, trends, and performance inflection points
- Partner with leaders to define reporting needs and translate requirements to data and finance teams, maintaining ownership of designated reporting assets including operating and financial KPIs
- Own the creation and maintenance of productivity and performance reports in collaboration with operations, finance, and data teams
- Work with operations leadership to establish performance expectations related to productivity, staffing, utilization, and financial outcomes
- Establish and maintain a repeatable performance management cadence to review operational and financial results, highlighting key insights and recommended actions to support organizational profitability
- Develop, maintain, and enhance analytical models, dashboards, and performance reports related to operational performance, profitability, and overall Medical Group performance
- Identify performance trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities using advanced analytics, statistical methods, and root-cause analysis
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for operational and clinical leaders
- Monitor KPIs across care sites, programs, and teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and relevance
- Conduct scenario modeling, forecasting, and impact analyses to guide strategic decision-making
- Analyze internal performance data to inform long-term care delivery strategy and operational model evolution
- Build tools, frameworks, and processes that enable care teams to measure, track, and optimize their performance
- Partner with operations, clinical leadership, technology, and quality teams to ensure performance insights translate into practical execution
- Lead or support performance improvement initiatives using data-driven problem solving, workflow analysis, and operational modeling techniques
- Provide analytical expertise to support business cases, pilot programs, and scaling of new care delivery capabilities
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and alignment across systems and reporting sources
- Collaborate with data engineering and BI teams to optimize data pipelines, metric definitions, and governance standards
- Create standardized reporting templates and dashboards that improve transparency and support consistent decision-making

Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in analytics, finance, healthcare administration, business, statistics, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, operations, performance improvement, finance, strategy, or related roles
- Prior experience in health systems, ambulatory care, MSOs, value-based care, or care model innovation
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel (XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, INDEXMATCH, SUMIFS, pivot tables)
- Strong proficiency with analytical and BI tools such as SQL, Python or R, Tableau or Power BI, and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to convert complex datasets into actionable insights for operational and clinical stakeholders
- Experience developing dashboards and analytics solutions at scale
- Demonstrated integrity and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to communicate complex analyses through clear, concise, and actionable narratives tailored to executive and clinical audiences
- Experience working with care delivery data such as clinical quality metrics, throughput, access, utilization, cost, or population health data
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present insights effectively to executives, clinicians, and cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with LEAN, Six Sigma, operational improvement methods, or healthcare quality frameworks preferred
- Understanding of care delivery workflows, clinical operations, and quality performance metrics preferred
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Master’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, business, data science, or a similar field
