Responsibilities

The Senior Benefits & Compensation Analyst supports high-volume Total Rewards operations across benefits administration, compensation programs, and job architecture. This role serves as a central operational partner to HR, leadership, insurance brokers, carriers, and employees, ensuring requests are handled efficiently and programs run smoothly. This position independently triages incoming requests, assesses urgency, navigates complex issues, and delivers high-quality work under tight timelines. Benefits operations will be the primary focus of this role, including day-to-day administration, resolution of eligibility and claims issues, and coordination with brokers and carriers. The role will also support compensation processes such as salary actions, job evaluations, geographic pay considerations, and incentive programs, as well as drafting and maintaining job descriptions in partnership with HR and business leaders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day administration of health and welfare benefits programs
  • Resolve complex eligibility, enrollment, and claims issues
  • Serve as escalation point for urgent employee concerns
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to employees and leaders
  • Support compensation programs including salary actions, job evaluations, and market analysis
  • Draft and maintain job descriptions in partnership with HRBPs and leaders
  • Support geographic pay practices, territory-based roles, and incentive programs
  • Assist with compensation cycles and analytics
  • Manage a high volume of requests through ticketing or case management systems
  • Prioritize work based on urgency and business impact
  • Ensure timely responses and resolution tracking
  • Maintain visibility for stakeholders on request status
  • Partner closely with insurance brokers, carriers, and third-party administrators
  • Track and resolve issues across multiple vendors simultaneously
  • Escalate issues as needed to ensure resolution
  • Maintain benefits and compensation data integrity within UKG or other HRIS platforms
  • Troubleshoot integrations, feeds, and data discrepancies
  • Partner with HRIS, Payroll, and IT teams
  • Manage competing priorities across benefits and compensation workstreams
  • Maintain strong response times and follow-through
  • Bring structure to complex operational challenges
  • Support compliance activities and audits
  • Maintain documentation, procedures, and reporting

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of prior experience in benefits and/or compensation
  • HRIS experience (UKG preferred; ADP, Workday, or similar platforms acceptable)
  • Benefits administration systems and carrier platforms
  • Experience managing eligibility files and data feeds (including EDI/834 files)
  • Compensation data management and reporting
  • Experience supporting geographic pay structures and incentive programs
  • Proficiency in job description documentation and job architecture tools
  • Experience with ticketing or case management systems (ServiceNow, Zendesk, Jira, or similar)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (data analysis, pivot tables, formulas, reporting)
  • Experience in data auditing and reconciliation across multiple systems
  • Experience with reporting and dashboard preparation for leadership
  • Experience in document management and workflow tracking tools
  • Strong judgment and critical thinking skills

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Advanced degree: MBA, MHRM, MS in human resources
  • CBP (Certified Benefits Professional) / CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist)
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional)
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP
