Responsibilities
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting with general ledger accounting, month-end close duties including preparation of journal entries and reconciliations, financial analysis, and ad-hoc reporting as needed in addition to preparation of reports and other financial data for various Healthcare lines of business.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Preparation of journal entries at month-end close, including but not limited to monthly revenue and/or expense journal entries
Responsible for reconciling general ledger accounts monthly
Assist in the preparation of consolidated internal financial reporting on a monthly basis
Support efforts to ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with GAAP and company accepted policies and procedures
Assist in the resolution of accounting discrepancies and irregularities
Partners with leadership and finance to understand performance to inform accruals
Proactively identifies opportunities for business improvement and presents findings
Effectively provides or facilitates the monthly and annual reporting, review and analysis of results and provides variance explanations

Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance or other related degree
- 3-6 years of related experience
- Demonstrable advanced skills in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Demonstrable advanced skills in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Advanced to expert level Excel experience: functions, formulas, including XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, INDEXMATCH, SUMIFS, and pivot tables
- Expertise building models from scratch to analyze various scenarios and outcomes with a track record of delivering accurate and actionable insights based upon the models
- Ability to manipulate and interpret large datasets and perform data cleaning and validation
- Ability to translate data into useful information and to communicate key findings and assumptions in concise fashion to management for use in decision making purposes
- Critical analytical thinking, problem solving, organization and time management skills with strong attention to details
- Ability to prioritize and effectively handle multiple concurrent projects while being flexible to changing priorities
- Ability to work in a team environment and interact with multiple levels of the organization
- Demonstrate initiative, self-motivation and ownership of responsibilities, must be a self-starter
- Effective project management skills, including managing to a project timeline and overcoming obstacles
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- CPA and public accounting experience preferred but not required
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced skills in Excel)
- Experience in a healthcare firm(s) a plus, though not required
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skill
- Ability to multi-task and operate at a high-level under pressure
- Display a detail oriented approach to daily activities and a self-starter attitude
