Role Description
The RN Clinic Manager is a dual clinical and leadership role responsible for providing both hands-on patient care and operational management for the clinic. This position combines the expertise of a registered nurse with the oversight responsibilities of a practice manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and compassionate care.
You will play a key role in building and leading a new care team dedicated to providing supportive care services for oncology patients. In addition to managing clinical operations, you will actively participate in patient care, coordinate multidisciplinary services, and serve as a liaison between the oncology practice, the Atlas team, and external partners. This position is ideal for a clinically skilled, people-focused leader who thrives in a startup or growth-stage healthcare environment.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:
Clinical Responsibilities (Approx. 50%)
Provide direct patient care within the clinic, including IV fluid administration, injections, phlebotomy, vital signs, and other nursing duties as needed.
Support physicians and advanced practice providers with clinical procedures and patient assessments.
Triage patient calls, assess symptoms, and coordinate care across oncology, behavioral health, and supportive care teams.
Monitor treatment side effects and ensure timely follow-up and patient education.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EMR, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Participate in developing and implementing clinical protocols and workflows that support high-quality, patient-centered care.
Management & Leadership Responsibilities (Approx. 50%)
Oversee day-to-day clinic operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and patient satisfaction.
Recruit, train, and supervise front office and clinical staff; provide coaching, performance feedback, and leadership support.
Manage staffing schedules, clinic flow, and workload distribution to optimize team performance.
Serve as the primary liaison between the clinic, the oncology practice, and internal/external partners to resolve issues and improve coordination.
Oversee project timelines, operational readiness, and go-live activities for new clinics or service lines.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), patient experience data, and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Support budget management, inventory oversight, and vendor relationships.
Assist in preparing operational reports, proposals, and presentations for leadership.
